First, here's a cute little kiddo video.

Thats kiddo walking around the house with her little walker thing!  She just did that last night.  So proud of her.  She's learning new things every day. Yesterday she also stood on her own.  We were in the hallway, and i was trying to get her to walk some more with her walker, and she let go of the walker, and just stood there, not holding on to any walls, or anything.  She's getting better at this!

Saturday, 8/13, we're celebrating her first birth day.  Tonight, Jes and I are sitting here with her Cricut cutting out decorations to put on the tables and tie baloons to.  Kiddo's asleep.

She's been getting up really early on us. We'd love it if she slept till 7 or so, but she's waking up at 5-6am every morning.  I get up at 6 for work anyway, but jes would like to sleep in at least a little. 

Last week was so hot!  We had to setup Kiddo's playpen in our bedroom where we could keep her cool in the AC.  Even that wasnt cutting it.  Some days last week were up above 100!  Thats pretty freakin hot for this area. The lawn's dead from lack of water.  Luckily this week's been a little less dry.  It's nice to have warm weather, but 100+ is a tad redicuious.

Two weeks ago we took Kiddo camping.  What a good time we had.  Kiddo was good, she slept well, and Pappy, Jes's dad, brought along this old swing he'd fixed up.  She loved it!  We strung up a rope, and hung the swing from the rope.  She sat in that thing all day long.  That is, when we weren't at the beach, which she loved almost as much as the swing.  I think she just liked trying to eat rocks she found in the sand.
